Short answers to common questions about the flat fee, how a search runs, the 180-day replacement guarantee, hiring in Latin America and the United States, and compliance basics.
Pricing
These questions cover the flat fee and when it is due.
What does a hire cost in each market?
A Latin America hire costs $3,500, and a US hire costs $9,900: a flat fee per hire, whatever salary the client sets.
What does the flat fee include?
The flat fee includes the search and candidate screening, plus the 180-day replacement guarantee.
When is payment due?
A Latin America search has $0 due up front. On a US search, $500 of the fee is due when the search starts and is non-refundable. The fee, or the rest of it, is invoiced on the hire's start date and is due net 15.
Is anything charged on top of the flat fee?
No. There is no percentage of salary and no monthly markup.
Which roles are covered?
The flat fee applies to any full-time role up to Director level. It does not cover VP and C-suite searches.
How a search works
From the kickoff call to the hiring decision.
How does a search start?
A search starts with the kickoff call where we define the role.
How quickly will the first candidates arrive?
First candidates arrive within 5 business days for a Latin America role or 10 business days for a US role, both counted from the kickoff call.
What does candidate screening cover?
Screening covers skills and work-sample review for every candidate. Latin America candidates also get an English assessment, spoken and written.
Who interviews candidates and makes the hiring decision?
The client interviews candidates and chooses the hire.
How quickly will my request receive a reply?
A new request receives a reply within 1 business day.
The guarantee
These questions cover when the replacement guarantee applies and the notice it requires.
What triggers a replacement?
If a hire leaves, or is let go for performance, within the guarantee period, we search again at no fee, and we keep searching until a hire passes the guarantee period. Each replacement hire gets a fresh guarantee period from their own start date.
How long does the guarantee last?
The guarantee lasts 180 days from the hire's start date.
What does the guarantee exclude?
The guarantee excludes layoffs, restructuring or role elimination; a material change to the role's duties or pay; an unpaid invoice.
What notice is required?
Give notice in writing within 5 business days of the departure.
Hiring in Latin America
These questions cover who employs a Latin America hire, English and salary.
Who employs a Latin America hire?
You hire the person directly, as a contractor or through an employer of record (EOR) you choose. We are not the employer, the payroll provider or the EOR.
How is English assessed?
Every Latin America candidate receives an English assessment, spoken and written.
Who sets the salary for a Latin America hire?
The client sets the salary, using published benchmarks.
Hiring in the US
These questions cover when a percentage agency costs less and the direct-hire arrangement.
When does a percentage agency cost less for a US role?
For a US role paid under $49,500, an agency charging 20% costs less. That rate comes from Staffing Industry Analysts research, as cited by SPECTRAFORCE (May 14, 2025).
Who employs a US hire?
